  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet [] has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

This website predominantly uses Adobe's portable document format (PDF) for document downloads, but in some cases may elect to use other formats.

To view PDF documents, you will need to install Adobe's Reader software. This is simple to do, just visit: [] and follow the download instructions. This software "plug-in" will enable you to view PDF documents available on both the UK Research and Innovation website, as well as from the internet as a whole. Certain browsers are also capable of viewing PDF files directly.
